About Robin and Sue

My sister Sue Adams and I understand soulful moments well. Our Mother has an excellent gift for topping off even the most ordinary occasions with a sense of celebration. Our parents are also great entertainers, and everyone that walks through their door is made to feel welcome. In 2005 following Hurricane Iva’s devastation, we opened our first shop call “The Two Sassy Cups Tea Room” and later added the “Ole Mug Coffee Bar.” Since then, we have served many a cup of tea to both travelers and neighbors. The initial tea room has transitioned along with our personal lives, but the magic of the teapot has never ceased to hold the possibility of an extraordinary moment.

The Copper Kettle embodies the love of tea, family, and community. I have never known a more friendly and delightfully eccentric group of people than the Kettle staff. Each time I pass through that hobbit door at the edge of the park, it feels like returning home for tea time with close friends. If you stop by, order a cup of sweet almond black tea. You won't regret it.

Copper Kettle is my happy place. I am amazed with this little gem in downtown Foley with great food and amazing tea selection. They also have the most caring and sweet staff. I have learned so much about tea there.

I have countless memories here. The first place that made my little girl feel like a princess with high tea and special delicacies served on three-tiered china is now the place that calls her by name when she is home from college and we sneak in for lunch or high tea. These walls have been a gateway for so many meaningful conversations between us as she grew. The oak trees hold our girl secrets, our mother-daughter giggles, and memories I'll always cherish. It is why Copper Kettle always feels like home.
